Using IntelliScanner barcode readers with QuickBooks

Getting Started

QuickBooks and IntelliScanner readers integrate easily. IntelliScanner Pro and Scanabout Pro are designed to work with many applications without additional configuration. Both models perform direct keyboard emulation – meaning they function in the same way as a keyboard and type out the barcode number they read into whatever application your cursor is active in.

Your IntelliScanner barcode reader can be used with QuickBooks for order entry, inventory control, ordering and much more. Use your IntelliScanner to enter item numbers in your invoices, quotes and sales - scan items in and out to adjust your inventory. When using your IntelliScanner to create an Invoice (Order or Quote), select an Item Layout, put your cursor in the Item Number field and scan the barcode on your item.

Integrating your IntelliScanner with QuickBooks

Integrating your IntelliScanner with QuickBooks is quick and easy. All of our small-business barcode readers - IntelliScanner Pro and Scanabout Pro - are designed to work with QuickBooks (and many other applications) without additional configuration.

IntelliScanner Pro advanced configuration. If you are using an IntelliScanner Pro (tethered USB model), there is no setup necessary – simply plug it in and start scanning away.
