When I scan items, the details aren't automatically filling in.
First, make sure you're running the latest version of the IntelliScanner Software Package. Data source updates mean that if you're not running the latest version, many or all items won't pull up information. You can download the latest software here.
- Once you're up to date:
- Test Media's ability to reach the Internet. In the IntelliScanner Dashboard, click on the "Tools" tab and select "Test Internet Connection". Media needs to have direct access to the Internet in order to look up information.
- Some books have both a UPC barcode and an ISBN barcode. You want to make sure you are scanning the ISBN barcode. ISBN barcodes are characterized by the letters "ISBN" above the bars and will begin with 978.
