How do I change the end-of-text character on my IntelliScanner Pro?

By default, the IntelliScanner Pro types a carriage return (CR) after each scan. When using the scanner with applications such as Quickbooks and MYOB, you will most likely want the scanner to type the number and hit the tab key to go to the next field.

To change the end-of-text character from an enter to a tab start by downlading a copy of the IntelliScanner Pro Advanced Programming Guide.

In the section titled "End-of-Text Character", scan the barcodes for START, followed by SUFFIX, TAB, and SAVE. Your barcode reader is now configured to type the barcode number and hit tab.

If you want the reader to type the number and stay in the same field, you can remove the end-of-text character all together. In the section titled "End-of-Text Character", scan the barcodes for START, followed by SUFFIX and SAVE. Now, your barcode reader is configured to type the barcode number and stay in the field with the number.

PS: If you do make a configuration mistake, just reset your scanner by scanning the DEFAULT barcode in the Advanced Programming Guide.
